Is a Pop up Wedding right for you?

A pop up wedding is a great alternative to event-based weddings.

They are smaller celebrations, usually around 10 to 20 people, and the venue is a public place that the couple loves. It’s about the unexpected — the random bystanders cheering and the joy in the air and being present in the moment, enjoying your surroundings- it’s an adventure!

If you opt for a pop up wedding, be ready for anything! The reason adventures are so exciting is because they’re spontaneous and full of surprises.

A pop up wedding can vary depending on what experience you want. Do you want to get married at the brewery where you first laid eyes on each other or your favorite winery?

How about the event you go to year after year-- a music festival or sports event or art show?

Maybe you want to be in the mountains at your favorite campground or lakeside at the restaurant on the pier? Maybe on a bridge overlooking a beautiful city view or on the beach by the boardwalk!  Just remember to make sure you have permission to wed there.

The true spirit of small weddings is to reduce stress and planning. All you need is an officiant, photographer and your witnesses!  This leaves you with not much effort in terms of planning...you are only responsible for whatever you want to wear and where you want to say your I Do’s.

Pop up weddings are for more spontaneous or laid back couples-- there is no stress of planning- you can pick up a flower bouquet at the local grocery store and the cake at your favorite bakery. They are also for budget conscious couples. Prices for pop up weddings can vary depending on which services you’d like to incorporate into your day and the location you choose.

The Surprise pop up:

Some pop up weddings are under the guise of a different gathering...one couple told everyone they were having an engagement party and “voila” everyone showed up to witness their nuptials! It could be a birthday celebration or Friends-giving or meeting people for a special dinner. Perhaps it’s a night at the Theater with your ceremony commencing in the lobby before the curtain goes up. Maybe you want to invite your closest enthusiasts for a day of skiing and surprise them on the last run of the day.

The goal is to get married with little fuss and maximum joy!
Include music on your blue tooth with your favorite songs downloaded to a phone.

Remember, you can also share your ceremony virtually with a live video!

Not everyone loves planning a wedding so a pop up is a fun alternative to the guest list, catering options and wedding party choices that go into an event based wedding.
